Advertising on UMMA site – FAQ
Q: Who can advertise on this site?
A: Any individual or business group that belongs to muslim community in general or UMMA community in particular.
Q: What are the advertising options available and their advertising rates please?
A:
i) Top banner ad- 600×300 px – file size max.50 kb – in banner rotator – AU$ 200/ year
ii) Right banner ad–300×250 px – file size max.50 kb – in banner rotator – AU$ 150/ year
iii) Right banner ad – 300×250 px (second level) –file size max.50kb – in banner rotator – AU $125/ year
Q: What does banner rotation mean?
A: Banner rotation is one of the most effective ways to display multiple ads. It is a program that randomly rotates the banner ads – each time the site is visited or page refreshed a different banner ad will appear on the screen. UMMA website has been installed with this type of banner rotation management.
Q: How many banner ads would you allow at each banner space?
A: At the moment, up to 5 banner ads may be allowed at each banner spot. This limit may change depending on the advertising demand and traffic on the website.
Q: Who should provide the banner ads?
A: Advertisers must bring their own banner ads designed as per the specs. mentioned above and email them to the web administrator for setup in the banner rotation manager.
Q: Can the banner ads be animated?
A: Yes but you need to restrict your banner ads to not more than 2 animating slides else the site looks too busy.
Q: Who gets the revenue of the advertising on UMMA’s site?
A: All advertising revenue is passed on to UMMA in the form of donations.
Q: How can I be assured that the advertising revenue is passed on to UMMA?
A: All cheques must be payable to UMMA or deposited into UMMA’s bank account. UMMA web administrator will not entertain any advertiser until he receives an email confirmation from UMMA treasurer. Alternatively, if the advertisers have deposited the funds into UMMA’s bank account directly then they can email UMMA web administrator with the details of bank deposits and their ad will be displayed on the site.
Q: I have already paid my donation amount to UMMA for the ad space, can you still reject my ad?
A: UMMA reserves the right to approve or reject any ad at any time without assigning any reasons if in its opinion, the ad is a breach of general guidelines of UMMA.
Q: I can’t afford to pay for advertising on UMMA site. What should I do?
A: For businesses like yours, UMMA Business Directory currently offers free business listing. You can list your business there. Just click the business directory link on UMMA’s site and register your business there for free.
