UMMA EID-ul-Adha update in the light of COVID lockdown restrictions
UMMA COVID-19 update 08 July 2021
Dear community members Assalamu alaykum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuhu,
Minister for Health Martin Foley announced on 7 July 2021 further ease of restrictions. Key
changes announced by Acting Premier are:
From 11:59pm on Thursday 8 July, restrictions in metropolitan Melbourne will be
brought into line with regional Victoria, which means all COVIDSafe settings will apply statewide
- Religious gatherings and ceremonies: No overarching venue limit. Density quotient
of 1 person per 2 sqm applies when using a COVID Check-in Marshal, otherwise density quotient of 1 person per 4sqm applies
- Face mask must be worn indoors, however not required in schools or in workplaces that are not public facing (e.g. office work), or if an exception applies….

Registrations will *ONLY* be at entry at the door through QR code check-in.
No pre registration(picktime) required.
Please remember to bring Mask Mat and your mobile phone inshallah.
“The indoor capacity for each session is 300, and will be allocated based on first come basis”. There is no outdoor prayers allowed as the venue max is only 300 per session.

*Masks:* It is mandatory you wear a face mask indoors.
🧎🏽♂️ *Prayer Mat:* The mosque prayer mat setting is configured to meet 1 in 4-meter square requirement. This means we must have 2 musalah gap between each person. You *must* still bring your own prayer mat.
Please be mindful of parking and be considerate of the neighbours.
