- Explore the concepts of outsourcing parenting vs supplementing parenting
- Discuss the implications of each approach on child development and family dynamics
- Delve into the proverbial concept of “it takes a village to raise a child” and the intersection of parental guidance with external influences.
- Examine the interplay between strong parental presence and the role of external mentors in raising independent and resilient children.
About the speaker:
Sr Saadia Mir Hazar -Sr Saadia has over 15 years of experience in the wellbeing space, working in Islamic schools, engaging with diverse communities, and leading government and non-for-profit organisations. She specialises is in therapeutic care, parenting support and providing advice and consultation to teachers, parents, community and case workers. She works with people from all walks of life, including young people and adults as a counsellor, mentor, trainer and facilitator. Her passion is seeing families thrive and building on our core Islamic values to work towards creating a vibrant community.
