🌱💚 Tree Planting Event Day Success! 🌿 💚🌱 Last Sunday (27th of July) UMMA Centre community members joined Manningham Council for an amazing National Tree Day event at the Mullum Mullum Creek Trail 🌿! 🗓️ It was an epic day of volunteering, learning, and connecting with nature 🌍. Children had a blast at the art station, decorating tree guards with personal messages 🎨, taking fun snaps at the photo cut-out board 📸, and learning about the species being planted at the education circle 🌿. We’re so proud of our community members who came out to support this great cause 💚. Together, we planted over 7,000 native plants 🌳, nurturing the earth and making a positive impact on our environment 🌱.

Alhamdulilah, the youth at UMMA came together for the highly anticipated annual FIFA Tournament. Boys aged 12-16 from the community participated in a fun and competitive event filled with skill, sportsmanship, and excitement. The winner walked away with a $100 prize, and the event showcased the strong Islamic brotherhood among the participants. A great time was had by all, spending the day at the masjid and we look forward to more youth events in the future inshallah!

SUHBAH SQUAD (Summer 2025) RECAPAlhamdulillah, our school holiday program was a resounding success! Over 8 sessions, our young sisters connected, learned, and had an amazing time together with a variety of fun-filled activities. * Creative Fun: Painting, pot planting, and jewelry-making, cupcake decorating where the girls showcased artistic skills. * Exciting Adventures: A visit from the petting zoo and an inspiring archery workshop, introducing them to a Sunnah sport. * Sports & Games: Sack races, basketball, giant jenga and connect 4, trivia * Food: Delicious daily lunch catered by Cafe Zouq.Alongside these activities, the girls explored Surah ‘Abasa & Surah Kahf, reflecting on gratitude, patience, and knowledge, tying their experiences back to their faith. By Sr Yasmin Yakub was a heartwarming gathering where we came together as a community to show our appreciation to dear Sr Yasmin as well as raise vital funds for children in Palestine. Sr Yasmin Yakub shared her journey in creating the book and the importance of instilling Islamic teachings in children through storytelling.
