🎙️ About Dr Samir Mahmoud
Dr Samir Mahmoud holds a PhD from the University of Cambridge in comparative aesthetics (Western and Islamic). He is an Assistant Professor of Architectural History & Theory at the Lebanese American University and previously held academic positions at the American University of Beirut, the University of Oxford, and MIT. He directs the “Living Turath Initiative,” which educates Muslims on the relevance of traditional Islamic wisdom through workshops and lectures. His interests include Islamic and Western art, philosophy, Islamic studies, and the dialogue between Islamic and Western psychology. He has lectured in the UK, Lebanon, and Australia.
