Governance Structure

  1. Every two years, UMMA members elect 20 Council members.
  2. From this group, 9 Executive members are chosen.
  3. The Executive then elects the Chairman, who appoints the Treasurer, Secretary, and Vice Chairman.
  4. Together, the Executive team manages UMMA’s day-to-day affairs, oversees facilities and properties, controls expenses, and ensures the organisation’s goals, vision, and objectives are achieved.

In addition to managing the affairs of the Masjid, the current Board of Directors is committed to:

Streamlining operations, processes, and procedures to better serve the needs of the community.

Empowering committees and youth to deliver excellent services.

Contributing to society-at-large through outreach and social services.

Commitment of Elected Members

Elected candidates for UMMA office must dedicate approximately 3 to 12 hours per week in a voluntary capacity, depending on the responsibilities of their role. They are expected to
